Publication Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement
Mauve Journal De Leardu [e-ISSN: 3048-1554] is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly research in the field of education. The journal covers a wide range of educational studies, including teacher education, vocational education, educational psychology, educational counseling, educational technology, educational management, special education, curriculum development, philosophy of education, e-learning, teaching and learning, comparative education, compulsory education, continuing education, developmental education, and language education.
This publication ethics statement outlines the standards of ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Editor Ethics
- Editors are responsible for managing and ensuring a fair, transparent, and objective review process. Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Editors must evaluate manuscripts without discrimination regarding gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.
- Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a manuscript except to the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher as appropriate.
- Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts undergo a proper peer-review process and that reviewers are selected based on expertise and independence.
- Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
- Editors must provide clear guidelines for authors regarding manuscript preparation and submission.
Reviewer Ethics
- Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help improve the quality of manuscripts through constructive feedback.
- Reviewers must conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and professionally, without personal criticism of the author.
- Reviewers must complete their reviews within the specified timeframe and notify the editor if they are unable to do so.
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not use any information obtained during the review process for personal advantage.
- Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
- Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Author Ethics
- Authors must ensure that their work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Authors must present their research accurately, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
- Authors must properly cite and acknowledge the work of others.
- Authors must ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript.
